How wide should a concrete sidewalk be?

For a standard front yard walkway leading to a front door, we usually recommend making it at least 3 to 4 feet wide. This gives two people enough room to walk comfortably side-by-side. For a smaller backyard garden path, 2 to 3 feet wide is usually perfect!

It can be, but we make sure it isn't! When we are finishing the wet concrete, we drag a special, soft broom across the top. This creates tiny, invisible grooves in the surface. This is called a "broom finish," and it gives your shoes plenty of grip so you do not slip and fall when it is raining.

Yes, we can! Tree roots are incredibly strong and can easily push up old concrete, creating a huge tripping hazard.
